If your from Teaneck NJ or know anyone from there than you most definitely know who this town legend is. Kadar has been roaming the streets of Teaneck NJ on his GT BMX bike banging beats out of his boombox for as long as anyone could remember. He's around 39 years of age (OG), tatted up like a subway in Harlem, a fanatic for Michael Jordan and his sneakers bearing tattoos on his arms to prove it, and he also claims to be "a hustler". He might appear to be a little slow but apparently not to slow being that he got hit by a car on his bike the other day and he came into the store (leaking as he would put it) ranting and raving about the situation leaving me sympathetic until he stated that "I got that bitch for $50! I can't give up on these streets I'm wild as can be!!!". Need I say more? Besides his antics he's got a big heart and we welcome him from time to time at Packer Shoes blessing him with absolute heat for his feet. Red House Furniture Commercial: Where Black People And White People Buy Furniture!!!!

The geniuses behind this extremely hilarious, over the top, controversial commercial for "The Red House Furniture Store" are Rhett & Link. Rhett & Link are life-long best friends from North Carolina and are known for their comedic internet videos. This multi-talented duo not only makes hilarious internet videos but they are also filmmakers, musicians, and have worked in network television stations. A lot of their work from their impressive extensive catalog has been seen as well as featured on Fox News, G4's Attack of The Show, BBC, CNN, and the list just goes on. They did this commercial as a part of their "Custom-Built, Micro-Budget Commercials For Microbilt Customers" web series in trying to help out the struggling furniture store getting their name out there because we all know what an unfathomable hole this country is in because of this horrific recession. Prince Ea a.k.a. Mr Vibe Magazine

If you've never heard of this lyrical powerhouse than I suggest you pay close attention. He goes by the name of Prince Ea and comes straight out of St. Louis, Missouri. Back in late 2008, VIBE Magazine held a contest entitled "VIBE Verses" that accepted video/audio entries from a slew of aspiring artists from across the country giving them a chance to win $5,000 in music recording equipment and a full page article in VIBE that from my understanding is an estimated value of $50,000, to whoever had the hottest verse. Immediately after watching Prince Ea's entry I was in complete awe and I knew in the back of my mind that he was sure to take the crown for hottest verse without question. Not only can this phenomenon flow but his lyrical content is extraordinary covering topics like politics, religion, worldly issues, and doing so in a unique and wise manner. He's also highly intelligent and is currently majoring in anthropology and minoring in biology at the honors college. Regardless of his busy school schedule he still manages to bless our very ears with beautiful music and I'm very pleased to put you bloggers on! Below I'm going to post first his VIBE magazine entry (The contest in which Prince Ea won!!!!), a video of him spitting 100 bars over Wale's Nikeboots instrumental, and last I'll post his new entry for the new VIBE Verse contest that just started. The Adventures Of DJ Spice Episode #3!!!!

The Dynospectrum (Download Link + Audio Preview Included)

Let me start out by saying this is easily one of my favorite albums of all time! The Dynospectrum was an extremely underrated yet highly talented underground rap group from Minneapolis, Minnesota consisting of Beyond aka Musab(General Woundwart), Slug of Atmosphere(Sept Sev Sev Two), Swift of Phull Surkle(Mr. Gene Poole), and I-Self Divine of Micranots(Pat Juba). This extraordinary album was produced in its entirety by none other than the magical early works of Ant which is to this very day one half of Atmosphere. This album being the only one the Dynospectrum has done together, was recorded in a basement and released in 1998. Around that time of underground hip-hop, Minneapolis was building a strong name for themselves in that scene by surfacing some of the most eerie, talented, and intelligent emcees to date. Ant's early production as you may tell if you are familiar with his work, was very raw and gritty sampling some of the darkest jazz that smoothly rides over his divine drum hits creative nothing but classic hip-hop for your listening indulgence. Its a shame these emcees don't collide on tracks like they used to anymore because the lyrical content and supreme delivery brought to the table by these 4 menace's was nothing short of "the real deal holyfield". I can go on about this album for hours but let me just end this discussion with me(Al-Nitty) giving this masterpiece 5 stars and treating you all with an audio preview and download link below. Goto your local bodega and grab the freshest grape dutchess, fill it with some grade-A broccoli and enjoy this dark and eerie ride into the heart of Minneapolis's underground hip-hop scene of the late 90's.

Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek) Back Again!!!!

Talib Kweli's debut album with DJ Hi-Tek entitled "Reflection Eternal" was easily one of my favorite albums of all time and I'm sure most of you true heads out there will agree for the most part. It's been almost 9 years since this dynamic duo has reunited for a second album and they will most likely deliver the heat this coming summer of '09! I feel like a little kid on christmas eve waiting impatiently to see what gifts are in store for me that following morning when it comes to this album. Here is what appears to be a possible single off the album called "Back Again". The video shows Talib Kweli at the Chop Shop in New York with several interesting cameos one being Stay High 149 (Wayne Roberts) which is a pioneer in the graffiti game. I have some funny stories from hanging out with that guy a couple times back in the day ahha. Watch the video below.

Mos Def - Flowers (Ecstatic Teaser)

For all you Mos Def fans out there I'm sure you are just as ecstatic about this album as I am no pun intended. His new album is slated for a June 9th release and I pray and hope that he will bring the heat this time around because his last album "True Magic" didn't impress me. Heres a teaser that was put together by Coodie And Chike for Mos Def's 4th solo album entitled "Ecstatic". 

Air Jordan 1 Black/Red/Yellow Colorway....

An Air Jordan 1 has to be extremely nice for me to wanna wear it simply because A. they kill me feet like you cannot believe, and B. they just don't catch my eye as much as other sneakers tend to.  I enjoy this new colorway that has just surfaced the net because of its simplicity with the coloring and the varsity letter materialized swoosh that caught my eye instantly. The shoe features a pleasant black leather upper with yellow contrast stitching and red laces and outsole accompanied with that varsity letter swoosh I previously mentioned. Bad news is this is rumored to be an Asia exclusive only. Stay tuned for future information on this release.

Besides all of the DJ Spice posts, most of the material I put on this site has some sort of purpose and importance. Forgive me but I could not resist putting this video up a.s.a.p.! I went to highschool with this character and we used to be friends, but he moved away and I havent seen him in at least 6 years. New Colorway Of The Nike Air Yeezy!!!!

With the release of the first installment to the Air Yeezy Trilogy last week, I must say I have never seen such hype revolve around a single shoe like this in my entire life! Last weekend was absolutely insane being that the absolute only thing on the masses minds was the Nike Air Yeezy. I fortunately was able to get a pair for myself and might I add that shoe is nothing short of pure flames! In the following months of May and June there will be the last 2 pairs of the trilogy releasing once again in limited numbers, but to my surprise a new sample picture has risen today for a possible 4th colorway! It features a perforated black leather upper with hints of grey throughout the toe box and lace holes accompanied with a fire red midsole and glow in the dark outsole. I have seen this shoe previously on Kanye's feet before shortly after he premiered them for the first time at the Grammy's in '08 but I never thought they were going to release since the first 3 colors he chose to come out with first haven't been seen before. No info on when and if these will release but I will be 100% sure to keep you posted. Feast your eyes on this insanely dope makeup of quite possibly the 4th Air Yeezy!

Swagger X Nike Sportswear Terminator Hi Supreme

When it comes to my favorite Nike silhouettes I can assure you that the Nike Terminator High is not one of them. That shoe just never moved me in any way even though there's a select few colorways that I enjoy, I certainly don't make it my top priority to throw these loafers on my feet. Aside from my opinion of this particular shoe style I've come to find this collaboration with Nike a tad bit interesting. Swagger(Clothing Line) is doing a collaboration with Nike by celebrating its 10Th Anniversary to produce this strange but interesting Nike Terminator Hi Supreme. According to sources, the reasoning behind the shoes mismatching is to supposedly create a mint chocolate theme which makes sense considering the shoes are surrounded by decadent chocolates. From the looks of it this shoe will most likely be an extremely limited release but thats just my assumption considering there is a custom wooden box involved. Still no info on the release date, availability, or price but I can guarantee you that The Official Tissue blog will deliver you such information once its available.

New BLU Track "LoveLine(s),DedicatedToLastFévrier"!!!!

This intensely talented MC seems to never fail me by bringing nothing but quality work to the table every single time! Blu's DJ Exile recently just put out a solo instrumental LP entitled "Radio". The entire album has an amazingly creative concept being that everything on the LP that is heard is sampled from nothing but a radio! He literally hooked his radio up directly into his Akai MPC2000xl and sampled everything from drums, guitar, static, vocals, commercials, basically anything heard on the album was sampled completely in its entirety from the radio only! This fresh new track from Blu is him rhyming over a track on Exile's Radio album called "Love Line". I just recently heard talk of a mixtape coming out using all of Exile's beats from the Radio LP with a slew of MC's blessing the instrumentals with their promising vocals and to my knowledge this is obviously going to be one of them. Dj Spice got his panties all in a bunch once I showed him that he wasn't the only Dj Spice around via the internet. I know I said The Official Tissue will be showing new episodes weekly but Spice was incredibly eager to let the world know a.s.a.p. how he felt about the situation being that he claims to be the "original" Dj Spice, so I decided to post up the second episode within the same week. Soon I will be posting up some hilarious outtakes from before and after the previous adventures with this demented disc jockey. Enjoy.

Nike Air Classic BW Black/Red/White!!!!

Earlier this year in January of '09 Nike finally re-released the highly sought after OG colorway of the Nike Air Classic BW nicknamed the "Persian Violet BW's". When word got out that this shoe was going to be re-released again nothing but absolute mayhem rapidly spread throughout forums, blogs, sneaker sites etc. In my store the phone lines were ringing off the hook leaving me with absolutely no time to attend to every hungry hypebeast's appetite for this classic runner. Thoughts crossed my mind towards hiring a secretary just to handle the Persian BW inquiries. With all the madness aside, Nike left a lot of sneaker heads upset being that they decided to make this extraordinary classic runner an Asia exclusive also making them available at Nike.com only! Just when Nike finally starts to release quality product instead of 90% of the trash they've been occasionally flooding the market with, they have to go and make it an online and Asia exclusive only. Go figure. Well I certainly can't complain being that I was fortunate enough to get blessed with one. Now if you were part of the percentage that missed out on this astonishingly timeless beauty then your in luck. The wonderful masterminds of Nike took that Persian Violet silhouette and replaced the purple(Persian Violet) with Red giving this shoe a powerful new look, but at the same time giving it that same OG feel accompanied with a slight twist. When I first layed eyes upon the sample I automatically stated "I need 2 pairs!!!!". No confirmed release date other than its slated for a spring 2009 release, but the shoes are available right now at http://www.caliroots.com/ so act fast or 6 months from now you will be kicking yourself in the rectum for sleeping on this loafer for to long.

The Hotelicopter!!

While I was doing my daily routine of surfing the wonderful worldwide web I happened to stumble upon this highly questionable flying object branded with the name "The Hotelicopter". Originally a Soviet Mil V-12 helicopter which has now been modified into a 137 foot long Hotelicopter with a maximum speed of 158 mph, this 5-star hotel features 16 cabins with 2 suites including whirlpools, heated toilets, queen sized bed's etc..  Talk about flying with comfort and style. This esteemed Sikorsky Prize Award winning vehicle will do absolutely nothing but leave you speechless accompanied with extremely high hopes to one day become window seated into this extravagant piece of machinery. The Adventures Of Dj Spice Episode #1!!

Due to high demand the multi-talented disc jockey/stoner/who the hell knows "Dj Spice" is back with the first episode into his new weekly series on The Official Tissue Blog entitled "The Adventures Of Dj Spice"! In this short but sweet clouded adventure Dj Spice discusses getting locked down in the tombs with the one and only legendary boxer Zab Judah! Forgive the tortoise paced dialogue caused by Spice's massive consumption of shrubbery. This strange phenomenon of a human we call Dj Spice a.k.a. Nipsey Russle, has several interesting titilating tales for your veiwing and listening pleasure. Stay tuned as we hopefully will be posting more adventures in the weeks to come.

World's Largest Record Collection + Video!!!!

Forgive me for being late on this extraordinary topic but I could not resist sharing this wonderful story to you all. You know what they say "better late than never". Now here is an interesting story of a man by the name of Paul Mawhinney who currently owns the world's largest record collection containing around 2.5 million records of vinyl LP's and 45's! His first record purchase was around 60 years ago which was a Frankie Lane song. Paul's immense passion for music grew by the day and the addiction took over. At one point in his life his collection reached 60,000 records with absolutely no more room to store them. His wife got fed up with his outlandish collection and gave him an ultimatum being that he had to either A. get rid of the records or B. go open up a store. Paul chose to open up a store called Record-Rama which the name was suggested by his wife. Unfortunately in February of 2008 the store had to close its doors. Paul suffers from diabetes and is legally blind which creates an increase in bills making it extremely difficult to fund up-keeping his extensive record collection. This entire collection is estimated to be worth a whopping $50 Million and he is asking only $3 million. To the best of my knowledge he still has yet to find a home for his collection and I find that to be disturbingly depressing. Paul, if I had the proper funding I'd make your dream come true of keeping your collection alive without question. Someone please wake up and smell the chock full o'nuts.

Derelict's With A Dream....

Sometimes I really wish I owned my own record label so that I could give people like this a taste of the good life. Unfortunately we all don't get the same cards of life dealt to us and some of us have to deal with deeply intense struggles more so than others. Now let me introduce to you all the first starving homeless artist on my topic for today branded with the name "Sawed Off". This video is deep look into the life of this Jamaican born homeless mc who currently roams the streets of Brooklyn, New York. It's a 9 minute intro/documentary narrated by Sawed Off himself telling you the outlandish trials and tribulations of this poor man and what he had to go through being on his own in the streets since the young age of 11. He's done it all from committing his first armed robbery at 12 years of age, to selling drugs, to being a father of  7 kids, and surviving on the streets doing whatever he had to do to survive in this harsh world we all currently reside in. He takes being an mc as a way of therapy to maintain his cool staying in the pocket. Now I don't agree with a good percentage of what this man did for the overall duration of his life but thankfully ill never have to know what its like to be in his shoes. It's worth the full 9 minutes in its entirety so enjoy and give me your feedback.

Now as for this guy he is not a rapper but a G-Funk Beat Boxer and goes by the name of "Red". There is not much info on this interesting character but so far all we know is his name and that he resides in the streets of LA. It appears to me that he is a crack head from the sound of his crack infested uvula and voice box but hey.... it wouldn't sound as cool without the harsh and deep raspy effect he conveys on his melodic funk driven creativity. The first video is a world premiere of his talents in a local LA parking lot. The second video is Red shortly after the parking lot fiasco looking a little cleaned up talking about him recording his first single. I have recently got news he got locked up which is the reasoning behind the single being pushed back. Check this interesting sound out and be sure to support FREE RED!!!!

Nike Air Yeezy!!!!

Let me first start out by congratulating Kanye West a.k.a. The Louis Vuitton Don on becoming the first non-athlete in history to ever get a Nike deal with his own shoe! The first time any of us had a world premiere glimpse into the creative mind of Mr. West's extensive design etiquette was at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards back in february of 2008.

As soon as my eyes along with those of many others either saw this photo or his performance from that night almost instantly questioned "WHAT ARE THOSE????!!!!". From this unclear picture no one was sure if this shoe was actually Nike made or not. I distinctly remember myself practically implanting my face into this 17" screen of the imac at work squinting my eyes beyond belief trying to determine if that was a Nike swoosh towards the back heel tab or not. Not to long after the release of this photo we all get promising conformation that the shoe is in fact from Nike's extensive catalog and that Kanye has designed it and it will be released but with no said date. A small number of sample pictures have surfaced the internet over time of all different possible color variations for the Nike Air Yeezy, but it seems that in the end none of the colors we thought were going to release first made the debut.

At the beginning of this post you see a picture exposing the first 3 color's coming out for the Air Yeezy. The picture I posted directly above is going to be the first of the 3 to come out in stores. Personally in my opinion this seems to be the best colorway out of the 3 even though they all take my eye in their own ways. The main focus it seems Kanye felt should be incorporated into the shoe was comfort. It has debossed ankle collar pads which will seem very similar to the ones located on the Air Jordan V. Also included with an extra thick sock liner, a support strap on the forefoot, and with a Y shaped tension lace loops located on the tongues midsection. The entire upper features full grain leather with perforated holes throughout most of the front of the shoe and also topped with suede around the toe box. The outsole which its design has been taken from the likes of the Air Jordan III / Air Assault, and yes it glows in the dark. The only thing that disappoints me about this shoe is the Y pattern scattered like broken glass all over the patent leather strap and suede mud guard around the toe box. It looks like Y shaped sprinkles and might have the tendency to appear tacky but I guess you can't have your cake and eat it to right? Despite the Y sprinkles I think this shoe is a masterpiece and will have hypebeasts all around the globe hunting for this one. The shoe will go for a retail price at about $215 and is supposedly very limited so I suggest you get your tents set up because next weekend might be a long one. This particular colorway is slated for an April release and it should be next weekend. Following this release will be the black and pink color seen at the top of the post which is slated for May and the Net/Net colorway will be June. Good luck to you all and hopefully there will be another post within 2 weeks of me holding my pair licking the bottom of my outsole glowing like Bruce Leeroy in Berry Gordan's movie "The Last Dragon" a.k.a. my favorite movie of all time..... but well save that topic for later =D.

BLU.. if you see the E DROP EM'!!!!

I couldn't of made a better first blog entry than to discuss BLU and Exile's debut album "Below The Heavens". Upon first discovering this lyrical menace, I had a chilling feeling almost equivalent to the first time I heard Black Moon - I Gotcha Opin (Vinyl Remix) when I was a young buck. Not in a sense of the lyrical content being equal but in a sense of hip hop feeling alive like it was back in the early 90's. Blu is a totally new sound accompanied by the master of the akai mpc2000xl (Exile) which gives proof that real hip-hop hasn't totally died yet you just have to look in the right places. This album is easily one of my favorite albums of the decade and I have become overzealous of their work every since my eardrums were first drowned in their sound abyss. BLU is a rapper that not all but, most people can relate to who go through common life struggles. He covers topics across the board such as being in love and having girl problems, being broke with no job, having an extravagant passion for music, family problems, smoking herb, and just being a 22 year old hip hop head from cali with a passion to make it as a master of ceremony and to have as much fun as he can while doing it. His flow is impeccable joined by superb delivery and emotion painting a perfect picture taking you on a journey into his life as a struggling cali artist. As far as production goes Exile is absolutely not human when he hits those pads on the mpc. His selection of samples is really soulful with a hint of jazz mixed into his melodic cocktail of sonic fury. The combination of their talents made the stars align perfectly for this strong debut. I give this album 4.5 out of 5 stars considering there is probably 1 track that i can do without even though its still promising. I recommend you peep this album ASAP without question and remember who put you on.
